Water catchment nearly doubled

It's been operating for a couple of weeks now, and just in time. The carport downpipe is draining to the house tank, yahooie! Rainfall has started its pattern of winter sparsity already, after bumper figures in January and February. Buggerdammit :( Dave did a sterling job of welding the frame together. Getting the "fall" right involved some creative glueing of downpipe elbows. I think the curve of the downpipe has a distinctively architectural - possibly even sculptural - quality. The house is tiny, 8m x 8m (plus eaves on two sides, plus the angle of the roof, so probably 8m x 10m effectively) and the carport is 6m x 8m, so water catchment area has increased by over 50%. Lovely.
